In the following day, Jude arrived in the room 444 before the philosophers once again; but the waiting was not exceedingly long: soon they were all gathered, sitting on the same chairs as the morning before.

“I have sent the paperwork to the ones responsible for approving solutions and we have a positive answer” started Marty “tomorrow we are to go to the normals’ territory looking for new Socrates”

Chapter 1 (15/15+?)

Jude was contemplating the whiteness of her sealing and, for the first time, such soothing activity was not successful in containing her restlessness. Her employment on escaping from her thoughts was in vain: she was irresistibly willing to ponder on each of the philosophers’ considerations of that morning, anticipating all the stimulating dialogues she would confront the next day.

Cândido’s words could not be more unaligned with the truth. The motive behind Paul’s and Marty’s alternative activities was not pleasure, but rather their resolution that, clearly, whatever they do would be more accurate to their philosophies than what their fellow section dwellers rejoiced in. Besides, their realizing such activities in the company of one another was absolute bliss.
